Samruddhi –  (Livelihood Promotion and Women Empowerment)

Project Samruddhi is dedicated to fostering women’s empowerment, with its activities currently underway at the Kharadi and Dhayari Centers in Pune. The project covers the following activities.

We offer vocational training programs in fashion, beauty, and food to equip women with industry-relevant skills.

  • Fashion: Basic Tailoring, Advanced Tailoring, Nauvari Stitching, and Zardosi Work.
  • Beauty: Basic and Advanced Beauty Parlour Training, Mehndi Application, and Jewellery Making.
  • Food: Cooking and Catering, Cake Making, and Diwali Snacks Preparation.

Over 400 women have received vocational training, empowering them to actively participate in income-generating activities and achieve economic independence. Approximately 50-60% of participants are working from home within their communities, generating incomes ranging from Rs. 3,000/- to Rs. 12,000/-

Formation of Women’s Self Help Groups (SHGs) to provide a platform for savings and access to credit for business endeavors in Pune City.

DRF has been providing awareness sessions on legal rights, health issues, parenting techniques, home management, and self-management for women on a regular basis.

Women receive personality development training within an entrepreneurial framework, covering self-awareness, confidence building, communication skills, time and stress management, leadership, personal branding, work-life balance, financial literacy, public speaking, problem-solving, adaptability, and ethical values.
