Surakshit Bachpan is a project dedicated to ensuring the safety of children, particularly by educating them about child sexual abuse and fostering alertness. To date, approximately 600 children have benefited from awareness sessions on protecting children from child sexual abuse. Following aspects are taught to the children, parents and the teachers in the training.

  • Child safety awareness: Educating children about various aspects of safety, including protection against child sexual abuse.
  • Empowerment: Teaching children how to recognize and respond to potential dangers, including how to assertively say no to abuse and seek help from trusted individuals.
  • Support systems: Establishing mechanisms for children to report incidents of abuse and providing them with access to supportive adults such as parents, teachers, and caregivers.
  • Community involvement: Engaging the community in raising awareness about child safety issues and fostering a supportive environment for children’s well-being.
  • Continuous feedback: Encouraging children to provide feedback on their experiences and ensuring that the project remains responsive to their needs.
